Space.gif (837 bytes) COST:
Unfortunately, there is no magic formula for the price of any given rendering. Each project varies with the scope, size of the rendering, technique and viewer position. For example, aerials and interior views typically take more time than ground level views because they tend to show more detail. Larger projects or intricate patterning takes time. The smaller the rendering the less time is needed.

To date, I have not done a rendering for more than $4500. On average my color renderings have ranged from $1000-$2800. Simple line drawings vary from $250-$800.  Once I have seen the project and evaluated it, I will give you a not-to-exceed fee in the form of a one page proposal billed on an hourly rate.   Reimbursable expenses and Sales Tax, if applicable, are additional and will be spelled out in the proposal.

Space.gif (837 bytes) SIZE:
Renderings vary in sizes, but the most typical size is about 11"x 17". This size makes it easier to reproduce, as well as scan from the original. Smaller renderings are done when either cost is a primary consideration or not as much detail is required. Larger renderings are atypical but are done, primarily to capture more detail not necessarily achieved with a 11"x 17". Examples of this are: (1) an aerial view of a campus, office park, etc., (2) the rendering has an irregular shape usually long and narrow, presenting the need to go beyond either 11" or 17" or (3) a State requirement for an original to be a certain size. Generally, a reproduction enlargement has served most clients well rather than the added cost of painting greater than 11"x 17". Please note the sizes indicated on this Web site, since you may be surprised by what I can fit in even a 8" x10" rendering.

Space.gif (837 bytes) SCHEDULE:
As of February 2003, I am booked ahead for 2-3 months. This booking schedule has been fairly consistent throughout the summer, though it has varied at times and occasionally a cancelled project will free up time.  It typically takes no more than 1 to 2 weeks to produce a complex rendering.
