Looking Inside

"Interiors take advantage of multiple illumination sources to help set the mood"
An Interior can deal with both natural and artificial illumination to help define the space. Using warm and cool colors along with varying the quality of light either by darkening the space or brightening the interior, you help bring understanding to the design as well as set the mood. Use of reflections within materials and borrowing colors from adjacent element help to harmonize the palette chosen or suggested by the designer. Furnishings and people help bring scale and reinforce the activity within the space.
In choosing a view, interior can be the most tricky, Many times the space can be too small to actually create a perceived view within the space that is not too distorted. Many views are taken outside the actual space, selecting those foreground elements to keep. Tilting the viewers viewpoint may seem to make the space more dynamic, it also can sometime give the illusion that the walls are caving in on themselves.
